currently reading your book! I’m hoping to look for missing people in the future and I’m hopefully going to university this year if my grades are good and I’m not sure where to start my career in missing people

Hello Hattie. It is good to hear that you are want to follow a career in missing. It is a very rewarding and challenging subject and there are various options to follow. Policing is probably the least direct one, unless you join in a relevant civilian role, with the need to work through the basics of policing before looking for a specialist role in missing. Other options would be research or working with a charity that supports missing people. If you are in the UK, more universities now have courses and departments relating to missing persons that could be of interest to you with regard to your degree.

Hi Charlie, my best friend son has been missing for 26 days now. He went missing from the Banknock area near Falkirk in Scotland. His name is Cole Cooper. It has been on most news channels this week. Despite police and community searching there are no leads whatsoever. Could you give me any advice as to what we should do next? He is just 19 years old. Thank you

      Hi Tracey

This is such a difficult situation for the family and those who know Cole. Anything that is done, should be with the knowledge and consent of the family. I will message you directly.
